KW high jump

 here is a google drawing of me about to approach  the high jump i have made this with google drawing. in here i have used shapes and colours to make this. i have done high jump because it is my favorite activity out of long jump, ball throw and sprints

kupe

  Kupe was the first Polynesian to discover the islands in New Zealand.

Kupe had made his way to new zealand with these 3 ways a compass, a man made map  and he followed the 9 matariki sisters. kupe followed a giant octopus which was called a wheke octopus  and the octopus lead him to new zealand. He was also killed by an octopus. the Stories of Kupes are held in the North island. he sailed here in his waka while taking knowledge, an axe and braveness with him. his wife begged him not to fight the octopus but he did So kupe hunted down the octopus so he could kill it.

cross country training

finally the day had come the cross country for after training for 2 week it was finally here. but sadly I couldn't make it because my jaw was saw. so i just relaxed all day and watch some movies but I saw all of the kids excited but nervous. i seen all of the year sixes siten on the tapolen but i didn't get to see the race.

before the race every day we would go out to alfreds cox park and do 3 laps around the course. finally I had finished the practice run whwwhww!!!  as I breathe deeply without getting air whew as I wipe my face with all the sweat on it finely i say as my legs felt like jelly.


it was awapuni last training have come so walked out to alfred cox. go as the teacher says i was on my 2nd lap  when am I going to finish  i say in my head it looked like water had got tipped on me but it just was a lot of sweat I could see the finish line so I happily boosted to the end. finally!! we had finished the practice race and went back to school.

this week me and room 2 have been learning about tui 250 and here is our birds we have created. so at first we had coloured in the tui 250 birds and then we had done it online.

KW Poetry

This week Room 2 and I have been working on using interesting language such as Verbs, Adverbs, Nouns and Adjectives. Here is a poem where i have used all of those interesting words.  

The never ending sky slowly covers the rocky mountains.

 The bright yellow sun surrounds the green fuzzy bushes.

The snowy sharp hills slowly get iced.

the pond slowly get shaded with dirty pond scum.

 The long sticks stand patiently.

My name is Karlos . I have three brothers and one sister. I am from Gisborne. My culture is Maori. What I like about Maori is that they got a cool haka. I go to Awapuni school.

 My goals for this year is to get Better at my times tables, Using descriptive language in my writing And staying out of trouble.I like to write, Play basketball, scooter And swim. I am good at scootering, bombs, Drawing And writing on my Google drive.

 My life goal is to be a professional basketball Player and play in the Golden State Team. When I'm older I want to be like Kevin Durant. He inspires me of encouraging his team and being a NBA Superstar. And my best friend kairo Inspires me of support and Kindness.

The Ocean

this week room 2 has being learning about  interesting language  this is my ocean poem and i have in my writing what i can hear, smell and fell.

avoiding jumping off the diving boards

finely!!! the day had came the pools so i wake up in my warm cozy bed. i get dressed for the pools. vrrm vrrm as the loud silver car starts up. so we joyfully went to the pools with excitement goal was to jump off the diving bored.

we had arrived at our destination so we leap out of the shiny car ready for a swim. so we zoom in because the the yellow blazing sun was burning. so i hoped into the pool i was standing there in the freezing cold pool it was as cold as i pile of snow.

so i peacefully relaxed in the freezing cold pool.the hydro-slide is open so i zoom up the colorful gigantic  hydro-slide finely i had reached the top so i patiently wait in line. it was my turn so i lay my bright yellow board on the smooth slide and hop on it swish swash i speed down finely i had made it to the bottom kaboom!!! as i land into the blue shiny water.

so i make my way to the diving boards with fear. i had mad it there so i consciously  walk up the high diving board i new ones i get up there i could not turn back as i hear people cheering me on, 321 whoo!!! as i do a big manu boom!!! as the water goes in mid air so i swim to the silver medal ladder. karlos? o mum!! so i ran with happiness then we had to leave sadly.
